Watching some of the developer forums for the direction of Arm and the support they are offering for universal and Rosetta 2, I don’t see the issue.
As with all updates to computers, OS's and software updates, there’s is a “beta” timeframe. They have opened the door for all developers to watch, learn and correct their software to run more efficient even on current machines and of course run on AppSilicone.
I guess in a way it takes away from creating new products, by needing to stay updated.
There seems to be a vibe that their new CPU's will be powerful.
As they showed on their graph. More performance, less power.
So not necessarily a high #'ed CPU that get super hot.
More a e.g A CPU can utilize the max capability of video.
Say that for every aspect a CPU operates.
My current iMac doesn’t appear to run its max abilities at all, yet gets sluggish and fans run constantly.
