Hey all, when I mute Monitor Controler, I still have a tiny bit of sound in my speakers. it's only when I mute or lower Control Room Headphones that I get MC to mute.

How can the headphones signal leaked into the mains ? has anyone got that issue?

I'm using Mambo patch bays and have never had an issue with passing 48v phantom power. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm reasonably sure it's not the patch bay.

I have a similar issue with my brand new Lio8, but the issue is slightly different for me. Where audio leaks out of the headphone outs regardless of whether Monitor Controller and Control Room Headphones are muted or not (if I am running at a high buffer size and using outboard I can hear the unprocessed audio output at a low volume first and the processed audio after). I don't use speakers so I can't test if it is for sure the same issue you have.

Sadly I sent mine back to the retailer, and the distributor couldn't reproduce the issue, not sure what's wrong here but I'm glad to see someone else has experienced this since I searched and searched but couldn't find a single mention of it.

I had other weird things occuring when I had some devices connected to the Send output as well, like the volume of the bleed will sometimes increase/decrease in volume, and other devices will start to exhibit odd behaviors. The unit might be returned to me so I might be able to do some more tests and get in touch with support.

I wanted to plug headphones and listen for that.
So I unplugged my jack cable that goes to an active floor PA monitor. The bleed is gone.

So it seems the HP outs, feeds the cable, the monitor ( turned for), somehow in the house's electrical network and back to the studio monitors's amp ?

I have yet to try with a balanced jack cable. I don't have one on hand at the moment.

AES cable and setup works great ! Supper happy with outcome . Only issue I came across is buzzing of external preamp when I switch to 192 kHz . Not big deal since I never record with that high sample rate. 96khz works with no issues.
Now I have 3 d-sub cables . Mic in, Line out and AES.
Do I need separate d-sub if I want to use line inputs or it can be accessed through mic input ?

any new news on the missing (2882, uln-2) mk iv upgrades yet? how's it going?

you need a separate cable for the line inputs. But the mic inputs can also be used for line level inputs to a certain extent.

While we are at it….. what are benefits on 256 word clock? Or is there any benefit from using it?

I gave up on waiting, sold my uln 2. Found amazing deal on lio 8 mkiv, got 1-4 preamp card ….. couldnt be happier….. except for all those d-sub cables….

Support said it would be this year so let’s see

I think this is purely down to the electrical network in my building. I got a replacement unit but still had the bleed, I also noticed when plugging a usb-c cable into a MacBook that wasn't connected to my system that I could hear scratches and other noises whenever the cable touched the Mac.

I got a relatively cheap power conditioner/filter off amazon and after plugging everything into that the scratches no longer occur. I can still hear the bleed but thankfully it doesn't get into any of the analog inputs, and seems to only be in the headphones output.

Yep not the patchbay! Two mics both with intermittent phantom problems AND a sometimes faulty dsub too! Unbelievable! The amount of back and forth I did to finally uncover all three problems. Sheesh.

When selecting a DAD interface at export, sonarworks exports a text file containing the gain, delay and eq corrections it has calculated.

This could be super useful to 'abuse' with the MH Monitor Controller, but the Q values don't match at all with MH's way of doing things. Is there some sort of calculator to convert more standard q values of filters? Usually it's "use your ears", but in this case it's really about getting as close as possible to a specific q value intended for a different system.

How would you go about this?

If MH were to eventually be able to do what Trinnov does, it would be crazy as hell and the best value for money interface in the industry.
Although I'd be happy with Windows compatibility first

Wouldn't hold my breath for anything other than Trinnov doing what Trinnov does any time soon.

But I am really holding my breath to see a solution for latency delays so reprints and running another converter off AES or ADAT and running live hardware inserts becomes easy and predictably phase accurate.........please, pretty please......

Also, if that it easier to do with a rule of not being able to use oversampling on the internal MIO plugins, that would be totally cool with me. Phase accurate hardware inserts way more important here.
