What does everyone think of Acon Verberate 2? It's on sale right now for $30 and I've always thought it sounds nice, but not sure if it gives me anything over what I have. I have all the Liquidsonics, Valhalla, Exponential Audio, and some others.
I think it's excellent. When you want to put something in a space and you don't want it to sound as if it has reverb on it, this does the trick. I won't bother with adjectives, just try it on something yourself and you will see how it differs from a lot of other reverbs.

Verberate is very nice (you can get a free minimal version BTW). Itβs a better deal if you get the full Acoustica since you get verberate included. Itβs crazy value.
Yeah, it's insane value. But now you even get Verberate 2 included in the Standard version along with Equalize 2, just not as plugins you can use in other hosts, but still..
Standard Edition
ARA support (previously Premium-only)
Spectral editing now included
Full Verberate 2 now included (only in app - not plug-in)

Getting better all the time. Get the higher version if you want to use those plugins in other DAWs. It's really not expensive at all for what you get. And Acoustica is such a superb audio editor, I use it far more often than Wavelab for every day and quick editing tasks.

Good question. I bought it a while back but haven't really put it through its paces. I did however put this one from them -

through quite a bit of testing and I think it's an exceptional reverb at smaller reverb sizes - perfect if you want to give a bit of life or space to a loop or even a full mix - it's very 'transparent' and another one you only notice when you turn it off. But it's still got quite a bit of life to it all the same that adds a bit of 'excitement'.
It's on sale now for Β£7.
Here are a couple of dozen presets I made up for it that display what it can do at smaller reverb sizes:

It seems to get more unruly and metallic and gnarly the longer the reverb times, but at shorter decay amounts it really does sound superb. Most those presets are at shorter decay times.
I've had it set up now as my default reverb in Foobar when I listen back to loops or even full mixes of stuff, albeit WIPs and not finished projects. There's very little it doesn't work on and give a bit of life to - it really does work across a wide spectrum of program material. Just don't overdo it. You'll soon know when you do!
For Β£7 it's a great reverb to have (even if you don't agree with me how excellent it sounds at shorter settings - the medium sized ones are still very usable and interesting). I like this one a lot and love the fact it works across such a broad range of material. I couldn't find many subtle presets with this (though it does come with quite a few different presets), and that's why I experimented and made up my own. There's a lot of things you can tweak on this as well as you can see from the interface.
I get that they wanted to push this as an 'in your face' reverb, and it certainly is that. But it really shines when you just ease off a little bit and use it for ambience instead. A little bit goes a long way on this one. Imho.
