FWIW, my Icon Q-Con Pro which was purchased (guessing 8 years ago) through the sole distributor at that time in the USA has given out.
I liked the adjustable scribble strip and professional and larger build over a smaller Behringer X-touch, but that's about all the advantages I can see. Reading the scribble strip is someone of a joke since MCU protocol is limited to very few character spaces, and Icon did not separate the channels on the scribble strip like Behringer did.
Power on and the scribble strip is completely blue. I called USA support and they could only suggest taking a board out of the back, sending it to them to "see if they still have that board" as a replacement..and who knows the cost?
Anyone want a non-working Q-Con Pro?
Still lacking today,
unless you find a script and install under the new MIDI Remote, such as with Cubase-Behringer, is the fact you must manually press the bank button or forward/back buttons to navigate to whatever channel your DAW is currently focused.
With a script, your controller automatically follows whatever track you focus in your DAW.

I must congratulate you for setting your controller expectations low.
It seems most users want their controller to achieve a lot more, and it's always based upon whatever DAW they are using. Before DAWs existed, you had big studios with big consoles. Any DAW controller will emulate the basics. But problems arise with the additional stuff that users want the controller to achieve.
