DP as an audio plugin host for DJ-ing
Hello,
I asked this question in „Music computers” general forum, but I would like to make the question more Digital Performer specific.
I’m planning to use DP as a host for audio plugins and connect it to Mixxx (DJ player) via Soundflower (virtual sound devise). The purpose is to use DAW equalisers and compressors during the live playback of audio tracks.
The audio path will be:
Mixxx output (soundflower) – DP aux track input (soundflower) – DP plugins on aux track – DP output (Focusrite Scarlett).
What settings provide me the best stability? In DP setup– „configure hardware driver” I can choose:
– master devise (soundflower or Scarlett?)
– clock modes (soundflower or Scarlett?)
– buffer size (which will be the best for this purpose?)
And the last question: are there any other DP settings, which are important to setup for this purpose?
Thank you in advance for help.
