In the prototypes we were using one tube per band, per channel but ended up changing our approach. In the final design we are using both sides of each tube so that each tube is used for the same band on both channels. For example, tube 1 would handle the low band on both channels.
Using the tubes this way means much closer tracking between channels, even as tubes age or are replaced and much more consistent distortion characteristics between channels.
