The point is that the B-1 is not thin. The AT2035 is thinner, even though it's more than twice the price. Since putting the B-1 through the Onyx preamp it is full-bodied with a lot of clarity, and deals with the lower harmonics of my baritone voice much better.
After I sell the AT2035 I will likely, at sometime in the future, take a closer look at the SE Electronics mics, or even the AT40 series.
