I borrowed a few ST55's and didn't like them. Any chance i would like the ST69? If its like the ST55 but with a tube and multi-pattern then i don't want it. Help!

I dont own either but the fact it is a tube design probably means it sounds quite a bit different (for better or worse) than the ST55, which is a FET design.

You could also look at the ST66 which is just the cardioid version of the ST69 and is 400 online at Guitar Center.

From my understanding, all of the Sterling mics are just Groove Tube designs with the exception of the ST77 and the ST79. Guitar Center has a clearance sale of the ST77 for 199 right now online as well.

I ordered one thats supposed to be here tomorrow so I can tell you exactly how it sounds though. Most reviews so far are positive for the price point though.
