With 32gb ram the whole session lives in ram and the i7 will not break a sweat. Not sure what audiocard you are using. But anything digital and that setup will sing. I’d get two klark teknik compressors ( 1176). And you are done. That setup is going to get you a great sound. You will not need anything other than a decent set of musicians. And back off on the autotune. Or the sound will be (miss) gaga.

I'm ok with compressors, I don't have an "audiocard", just converters + usb adat interface and external preamps.
I don't know how to use an autotune, never used one, I record mostly metal/hard rock/punk

Finally somebody is backing me here... But i didn't realized it came with sys. 6000 presets. Being modeled after the EMT 250 i totally missed that. That's an incredible bang for buck deal and I'm so getting this! And it'll a pleasure to let go of my mouse and play with those joysticks too(my hands hurt).

Rme digiface usb? To converters? The RME is still an audio interface. It has an asio driver.

Of course I have an audio interface, how could I record stuff on a computer without an audio interface? I just found the term "audiocard" funny, it was so 90's, that's it

Yea that's where i 1st heard of it. I love David's channel. I thought the controller was great but for a 250 reverb only it didn't make sense to invest in it. With sys. 6000 presets it's different story.

I just realized the TC 8210 comes with Reverb 4000 presets it seems. It's ridiculously cheap too($99)

Is there a way to turn off one engine or channel? Seems like its always outputting both engines and I want to turn off the compressor because I use a different outboard unit. thanks

Page 11 and 12 show all your routing options. Paralell 1 is what you want. You probably have it set to serial 1. I have 2 setup this way so I can access to a total of 4 Stereo effects using the analog and aes i/o

Individual preset I like the vintage 250 #50
The Leslie presets are great too

Both sound good! I wish I could edit the settings a little more but not bad for 50 bucks!

I dug one of these out of storage a few weeks ago. I'm trying to set it up on the spare optical outs of my RME UCX but having no luck, I can't get the V-Verb to receive any signal. I've connected with 2x TOSLINK in/out, the units lock sample rate slaved from the UCX and all looks good, but pushing audio through the UCX SPDIF out doesn't move the meters on the V-Verb, and there's no return on my UCX SPDIF in.

I've got it setup as

I/O

MASTER IN - DIGI
INPUT - STEREO
WET/DRY - EXT

DIGI

CLOCK - DIG. IN
INPUT SOURCE - OPT.
DITHER - OFF
OUTPUT - SPDIF

It works fine through analog ins/outs, but unfortunately they're taken up. Does anyone use these through optical that can see what I'm doing wrong? I wouldn't be surprised the digital i/o are dead, but it's strange it locks and works through analog too.

Any idea how to save default presets so that they run on startup? I am pretty sure it is possible because my device startups with a custom preset I did a long time ago, I just can't figure out how I did it

One of the psu’s started acting up over the last week in one of my units so I rebuilt it and then modded the I/O analog stages on both of my units. These units do sound very nice.

Has anyone done any sort of midi controller for these units so they can be edited while sitting between the speakers? Sure would be amazing.
