I thought the "after" was a great improvement over the straight MIDI. If you are drawing in your drums, this plugin will be a help. Being free is also a help.
I do however, have a pet peeve about using the terms "randomizing" and "humanizing" interchangeably .

Human timing and dynamics is not merely
imperfect (off the grid) - it always has a slight bias. And in a good drummer, that bias is towards groove and swing. Might be too much to ask from a plugin, but a real human might
trend towards slightly higher velocities on downbeats. Might be consistently "on top" on the 1's and consistently "back in the pocket" on the 4's. i.e. not truly random.
