So I have a Red5 Audio RV6 which I think is toast. a noisy wind, pop & crackle noise is coming from it after years of no issues making it unusable.
I liked the sound of it but it was too sibilant so after reading a lot on here I've narrowed it down to 2 mics

I am really broke at the moment and cant justify spending more than the price of these mics. perhaps down the line

The CM4 has the flattest frequency response Ive ever seen and read great reviews.
Noise level: 16dB(A)

The Teal has SUPER low self noise @ 7dBA
Switchable low frequency roll-off: flat, 75Hz or 150Hz
Switchable pre attenuation: 0, -8dB or -16dB

And Ive never read as many good reviews about a cheap mic ever.

The use is mainly for vocals that are very sibilant but will want to use it for other things too.

Any help is appreciated.

3U mics are known for being a great value, but they’re also known for not being sibilant.

The majority of people use large diaphragm condensers for vocals, but you certainly can use a small diaphragm mic.

The Line Audio mics are a great value as well, and definitely sound nice. I haven’t heard vocals through one though.

I have the older cm3 pair and have not regretted it, but I use them on classical acoustic guitar and acoustic instruments, I think you could make the cm4 work on vocals but because it's an SDC mic your positioning will be critical, I don't have any experience with the other but to be honest it looks like trash.

The CM3 (and CM4) is very natural and works nicely on vocals for the price, male and female. Their self-noise is not an issue for vocals or acoustic instruments if they are not to far away.

I’ve never tried the teal. I have a pair of the warbler mk1. I love them!

After reading more I think I'll settle on the CM1 Black
the lower self noise + the higher S/N ratio I think tips the scale in it's favour and it being a little less bright/sibilant suits my needs over the Teal.

I'm still interested in the CM4 but perhaps at a later stage
