I'm looking for a small summing mixer and am contemplating the Behringer Xenyx 1002 vs. the 1002FX. The price difference is only about $10 and the added FX might come in handy at some point.
I'm wondering if the FX has a higher self-noise than the one without the FX. Does anyone have experience with these two mixers when it comes to noise?
I sure don't know, but then can't imagine why it even would?
I presume it's not addressed in the specs?
Maybe to ask 'is the mixer's noise performance (levels) adequate'? or even.. 'a problem' would be more effective way to approach?
They're both really cheap mixers. If there are any noise problems, I doubt they would be the result of onboard effects, but the result of something more fundamental. IOW, I doubt you could go wrong spending the extra 10 bucks for the FX model if you really want onboard effects.
