I have never heard that particular Behringer mic, but I do have a pair of Oktava MK219s. They are good mics, but they may not be the greatest thing for room mics. I have tried them for that purpose, and end up using other things.

There is a model of Behringer mic that you may be interested in for the room mic use - the ECM8000 (I think that is the model number). They are small-diaphram omni-pattern mics, which can often be very good for room mics. The best part is that they can be had for $35-40 (US dollars). They are slightly noisy, but if you're recording rock music, you shouldn't have a problem. They are probably the best mic deal going today.

Well, if you are looking at the Oktava MK219 which has a fixed cardiod pattern, I'd suggest a pair of Berhinger B1's which are a fixed card version of the B2. Personally, I'd prefer 2 B2's (multi pattern) which could also be used in an M/S micing pattern if you so choose to. If cost is an issue, go with the Mk219 ($150 a pair on musican's friend right now vs $150 for 1 B2).

If you don't have any EM8000's, get a pair. $35 each is a steal.
