I bought a big instrument bundle and now I have thousands upon thousands of samples to search from. So when go I look for a bass I end up going through each bass sample one by one for like 15 minutes and feel like I'm completely wasting my time. I do favorite some samples every now and then, but there are still thousands of samples that I haven't even gone through. I was wondering if any of you have dealt with this problem before and if so, what things did you do to solve it or ease the process?

Not a helpful answer at all, but that's why I never installed Komplete completely.

Live is too short for that kind of nonsense.

Also you will never get a "signature" sound if your sounds are arbitrary sounds from a pool of thousands of sounds.

For me the solution is to use simple synths, and simple sample libraries that do just one thing. And very special instruments like granular things or what ever for special occasions and flavours.

Also it helps when you have an image of the sound in your head beforehand, and then narrow your search by that. Like, "accoustic jazz bass" instead of just "bass".
