Thanks for the suggestion. My apple pies are one of my favorite fixes and I have not had one since last Christmas so it is likely going to win the day. While I do love my stuffing, I would surely eat too much of it and since I am really doing well with the weight loss program, I want to stick to it so I'm willing to sacrifice the stuffing until some future time - likely next Thanksgiving as I should have lost the weight by then.

That's a good plan. Make sure to have stuffing some time though. Pro tip: turkeys will likely be quite cheap after Christmas. One discount store sold them for five bucks each after our Thanksgiving (which is in October). I'm definitely going to check that store out on the 26th.
Good to hear the weight loss is going well. Having done it myself, it's not fun but the results are very satisfying, especially if you keep it off, which I've done.
My daughter isn't bringing her green-haired boyfriend along. Too bad- he's a super nice guy. It's been a very auspicious year for all of us- her new boyfriend, my son/gf buying their first house, the ex/her husband buying a smaller house, and of course my retirement. I really can't ask for a better year.
