Here it was the next to last episode. I won't say anything other than it was excellent as each episode always is.
I hope you get to watch hockey and see the remaining episodes.
My team was getting smoked, so I watched the episode. The end is nigh. The preview of the next episode shows him in that last boat ride, so we know what's going to happen. BTW- I noticed in the credits that it's produced by BBC and MASTERPIECE. Since it aired on BBC first, maybe MASTERPIECE provided funding to get to show it? Dunno.
Anyhow, back to cooking. We did Easter supper on Saturday and had lamb. The dessert (pictured) was a simple white cake covered with a runny caramel sauce. Very tasty! It really reminded me of something my mom used to make called Radio Pudding- my grandma heard the recipe on the radio, hence the name. I made it once, as I have all my mom's old recipes- it's a white cake/bread batter filled with raisins and baked in a casserole with a runny caramel sauce. I thought it was great, but everyone else looked at me like I was an alien.
My daughter was in town for the weekend, and said her boyfriend's favourite cake has mayonnaise in the batter, which makes it really moist. I thought that was interesting.
Also, as the grocery stores were selling fresh turkeys for Easter, they were 50% off on Monday. I got a turkey for $11.00. It's easy to make, but a lot of work, and I'll be eating it for several days. I love turkey.
I'm going to a dinner party on Friday evening, and I'm bringing my lemon shortbread squares, as I was asked to bring it.
