A notable user of these is Eric Valentine, you can find for sure at least one video where he talks about these in great lenghts..
I’ve used these a couple of times.. these are pretty nice nearfield monitors, that require a decent amp. Are premium monitors made in Switzerland.. so they are priced accordingly.
they remind me other loudspeakers I’ve heard in other studios (proac and ns-10’s..), I do think they sound much “better” though, but have somewhat a “papery” feel to them (and I mean this in a good way) that reminds me something of the monitors I’ve mentioned that is difficult to describe. Dunno if that makes any sense.
I don’t want to compare them to ns-10 though, don’t get me wrong.. these are very different sounding loudspeakers.. I’m speaking about a specific way of “portraying” things, a certain “patina”.. or “feel”..
I’m not sure if I could work long hours on them.. but they’re impressive nearfields for sure.
Btw you might want to organize a trip to Bern and test them..

Meeting Jürgen Strauss is also a great experience, very knowledgeable, and still so down to earth, he is an elegant gentleman genius !
I’m not sure what you mean exactly about “flat” nearfields..
or what exactly you want to achieve, or better said, what are you missing from you current nearfields..?
There are several nearfield that measure quite flat (like neumann KH’s or some Genelec monitors), but that is not what will achieve better mixes imho. (for sure is not the most important element of a quite convoluted equation.. At least not with my brain and ears).
there will be new kids on the block soon, I believe towards the end of 2024 or so.. these could be also very interesting nearfields..
Are made by Alcons, the model should be called MR5..
I’ve heard a prototype of their bigger brother, the MR10, at the beginning of this year in Barcelona.. need more time with a pair in a real room, but they were pretty good in my short time and under the conditions I’ve heard them.. can’t really say more though.. but definitely worth considering.
(I’ve used their PA line arrays and loudspeakers in several occasions and they are some of the VERY best I’ve heard.. I’m used to the usual suspects from D&B, L’acoustics, Meyer, etc.. so not crappy stuff).
Dunno how the new MUM from present day production perform.. never heard them.. semms an interesting project though.
PMC6 might also be worth a listen.. quite “linear”.. I wrote my impressions of these on several threads when they came out.
I do regularly use atc’s.. so I’m used to that, and I like how they “tell” you things and let you work for great results, quite fast, but also work/worked on other stuff.
howdy
