I don't compress that much on individual channels, but
I need a great compressors for 2buss for more glue, and more attitude/vibe
I m using The Glue right now, with just 1 db MAX or the vertigo in soft mode

I come from ITB mixing, and started to buy some 500 series, great monitors (adam s3x v), great converters (lynx aurora) plan to buy a great stereo EQ and a great summing mixer but I guess a compressor is the priority, but maybe i'm wrong!

what do you think? Any other suggestions?

I've got a few to look into:

Chandler Little Devil Compressors. I tried this on 2 bus for my electro pop productions, and it added a little bit of magic and a lot of weighty punch. My favorite compressor that I've used.

API 2500. This one has been a classic for so many genres. I bet you end up with this. Also will do well on drum bus.

Chandler Zener Limiter. I've never tried it in person, but everything I've seen about it shows it worth checking out.

UAD Fairchild 670 MKII. This is what I'm using now. Warms things up a bit, and it can add some punchy depth.

Yeah Api25000 is a classic. A lot of guys here mix rock and pop and use it for drums, not 2Buss...but house is all about drums, so why not ahah!

It looks like budget is not an issue, so to stay with 500 series gear you might look at the Dramastic Obsidian - which is an obvious recommendation for your needs on GS ;-)
A pair of Dave Hill Designs Titans would be another cool solution providing a ton of tonal options, though its overall on the cleaner side in a very good way. EQ for this application I would probably check out API 5500. As a rule of thumb for dance, I tend to stay more on the VCA/SSL/API side than lush/Neve/VariMu - but as always YMMV.

I've heard a lot of talk about it on 2bus. Definitely one of the more popular ones.

The LD Comps are also great for mix duties. With the two compression curves, it's almost two comps in one.

The API EQs are probably the best for electronic. Perfectly aggressive and clear.

That Thermionic Phoenix SB compressor is amazing on all levels, tone and action. It might be the most versatile tube compressor we've ever used as it truly does the "clean to mean" thing.

A Serpent Audio SB4001 would give you the best of two worlds, the SSL auto release thing which is used on sooooooooo many mixes it's kind of crazy...but he also gives you a full release control which is crucial for rhythmic timing of a mix.

SSL G Series works wonders on house/trance/techno. I have one. Smart C2, as recommended above, should be similar.
