Hi Gearspacers!

Has anyone here had issues with the Bock ifet not being able to handle the spl of a bass drum? I am using mine in "i" mode and putting it about 3" away from the front head of the bass drum and it sounds a bit distorted and my wave forms look like they are being run through a brickwall limiter even though they are nowhere near clipping. I sent it off to David Brown and he said everything looked fine in the mic, so we're trying a new capsule to see if it may be the issue. Bass drum was the main reason I bought this mic (I record myself playing drums and percussion on other peoples' projects), so will probably sell it if it's not up to the task.
