Had a Lyra 2. Sounds absolutely amazing. However the software was extremely frustrating to use so I sold it and never looked back. Switched to RME, which doesn’t sound as good but the software works better for my needs.

I'm a bit unclear on your routing as it doesn't look like your track is feeding the AUX with the insert or the print track. Have a check to make sure you're not just routing it through the Prism mixer (outputs set to DAW will be for Pro Tools). If I'm wrong and it's working for your purposes then carry on and have fun!

Shouldn't Prism's output (DAC) already be dithered? Why would you add another dither?

I assume you're talking about Prism's SNS (or TPDF if SNS isn’t chosen)? To my knowledge that's only for dithering down from 24bit to 16bit on the digital outputs. Here's a bit more info: https://www.prismsound.com/music_rec...ech_dither.htm

Either way in my normal use I use Goodhertz dither right before any inserts/outputs. I like to see that I'm only sending 24 bits to the analog outputs.

Adding an RME Digiface USB would be a good solution, to getting "better" drivers and keeping the Lyra's "amazing" sound.

I'm using one with a Titan, although I don't find the Prism software that frustrating to use, but I wanted options to expand my I/O.

PrismSound software IS non-intuitive to use.

But after learning its signal flow, it is easy and very flexible.

The PrismSound digital mixer is high quality and allows any routing needed.

I must be the odd one out, or its a Brit thing.

I find the Prism mixer quite obvious.

I have been using TotalMix for about 20+ years and still confused by it.

Horses for courses.

Ironically the Prism into RME Digiface USB is something I do often for extra channels. (via ADAT)
