Varispeed recording possible?

Hi,

I'm new to Mixbus and absolutely love it since I started on a 4 track then made the big jump to a Fostex 8 track with a Tascam mixer, I feel right at home.

My question, is it possible to do varispeed recording in Mixbus? I like to use this for backing vocals as I feel it sounds better than any pitch shift I've heard to date. Reaper will do it, and I believe Pro Tools (never used) but I'm hoping there is a way in Mixbus and I'm just too new to have figured it out yet?

Looks like Ver 6 if this is what your talking about.

Enhanced transport syncing with varispeed recording
Mixbus can now record while chasing external timecode sources that are varispeeding (playing faster or slower than 100%). All potential timecode sources are now displayed on a single window, each with its current timecode location. The active synchronization source can be selected on-the-fly.

That's interesting, it would seem if it can do that then varispeed might work for recording. But I can't find any setting, transport control, etc.. Probably because I'm still hunting and pecking around being so new to the Daw. I've found nothing other than lowering the tempo.

Do you have version 6 ? Look like it just came out... I've an older ver, so I wouldn't be much help.

Hi Rick,

I downloaded both demo versions, and bought the newest version six. If 32c hits a sale over the holidays I might move to that one but it was not as easy on old eyes as the standard version, but that EQ might be worth a monitor upgrade.
