The 2B Beauty is a large diaphragm tube condenser microphone. It uses a patented, pure gold coated, 34mm dual sided capsule, and sits at the top of the quality spectrum with some of the best tube microphones available. It has a very clean and flat frequency response, with detailed and natural sounding mid and high frequencies. The 2B Beauty is an amazing vocal microphone, but with the switchable low cut filter, the -10dB pad, and 9 different polar patterns, it can also be used in a wide variety of recording applications, such as acoustic instruments, orchestras, and even drum overheads. Comes with custom wind screen, shock mount, power supply, power cord, 5 pin XLR, and interchangeable white and blue body's.
+1 on the 2B Beauty, I haven't used it much, but have listened closely to it in initial testing, and I can't imagine you could find more sonic quality anywhere near this price point. IMHO the upgraded components really make a difference. The mic is as quiet and detailed as mics I've used costing...

Also the isk 2B beauty tube mic is similar quality and sound - but they are hard to find now too. The 3U black is a bit less bright - but close and cheap - cardiod only. The Cad trion 8000 tube mic is a similar sound - but not made as well. In the dynamic microphones...
