I am very interested in the HILO 2, and wondering if it will be more transparent that the RME ADI 2 pro fs

Both of these are very high quality converters. Each will have a sound and it's really just a matter of taste. I think you could argue both are really transparent. So, that's a tough question you raise. It's going to come down to how you like how one operates either unit.

True, also in specs HILO 2 is not that much better than the HILO 1. RME is almost 2.5 times cheaper, so i may stick to it though
