April 2015 New Gear Thread

I just finished this, so I guess it counts as new gear even tough it looks kinda old

It`s an 8 channel passive DI box, based on the Iron8 pcb. So far 2x Lundahls & 2x Cinemags in there, Pikatrons are planned for 5/6 and sockets are installed in 7/8 for exchangeability so I can swap transformers. Any passive tx`s you like, other than the maybe obvious Jensen? Sowter maybe?

Oh yeah, dsub i/o to my patchbay for simplicity (not in the internal wiring tough

)

Oh yeah, and just waiting for a switch so I can finish off my 1084`s...

Not gear related but youtube is playing a prank on us....Anything you search it writes "Did you mean Darude - Sandstorm by Darude"

Ha! For a long time I toyed with the idea to have the drawer for keyboard, and in the end i've even built one. But then after a while i've noticed one annoying thing - i could not cross my legs.

Seriously, in the end i've dismantled it. During long studio sessions i have habit to cross my legs after a while. Can't fix myself, so i've abandoned the drawer instead.
