The differences are quite literally outlined in their names.
It's the medium through which an introduced signal travels. The medium will impart its own flavor of artifacts.
To introduce signal to the different mediums requires different approaches/transducers/etc., the same goes for recovery of the now altered signal.
edit: you may have been asking about sonic differences between the reverb types? That should be easy enough to dig into via youtube demos, etc. One could write books on that subject and still miss things, best to follow your ears as opposed to my clumsy translations.
With all the time in the world, we could go into a deep dive on one particular format - but that would only be looking at a sliver of the options.
I find when thinking on reverb, it's more useful to me to consider the medium as a fluid, be it air, formed metal, or other.
To dial back to the root topic, I find the Digitech DSP 128+ ultimate reverb algorithm is lofi with character in a rack format.
