You are doing just fine. All of the synths that you like are inexpensive. Never change.

Bitley, I'm surprised you're not a DW fan, to me it's the closest Korg equivalent to the Alpha Juno, in terms of its strengths being variety of waveforms, variety of chorus settings, and complex 7-stage envelopes. I also think out of any analog synth using any kind of VCO or DCO, the JX comes the closest to achieving the glassy EP/bell tones of digital synths. Meanwhile, out of any 80's digital synth, the filter of the DW series comes the closest to fooling you into thinking its square and saw waves are coming from an analog DCO. Add to that the lack of a PWM option in both, and you have a lot of sonic overlap between the JX and DW-8000 IMO.

check reverb, there is a couple of them

There is an Rev4 with Kiwi editor on reverb for about $2500. Thats not too bad, considering the Kiwi is about $600 new. Might talk them down a little, but its not a bad proce either way. I think the asking prices for the Jupiter programmer are ridiculous. Plus, the Kiwi will also program dozens and dozens of other synths, and you can create your own programs for it. Has very firm, solid feeling knobs and sliders. I used one for a Kiwi-3P, Kiwi-106, Alpha Juno, and Matrix 6 in the past. Easily pages between progammer pages. Its quality kit. Built like a tank, very heavy.

Always wanted an MKS-80. Go for it.

I have just received my Stereoping programmer for the mks80- currently recabling the studio etc. so I am not going to test it anytime soon. But it looks and feels fabulous, a worthy less expensive alternative to the pgm80, and brand new!

The latest version can now do patch parsing when receiving from the MKS80 and also when receiving edit buffers from (for example) Knobkraft.

Changelog:
1.1 added Volume control in the GLOBAL section, minor cosmetic fixes, removed most of the initial values. (internal v10)

1.2 fixed VCO2 range visualization (thanks to Source Audio from the Cycling forum!), fixed F ENV Polarity, it had the wrong parameter (v14)

Now you can receive a preset from the MKS80, for that the Track the device is on, needs to be armed and of course the Midi input device needs to be set to the MKS80.
To receive a patch, enable the "enable Sysex receive from MKS80" button, and then select a preset ON THE MKS80.
After the patch is received, the button will turn itself off again in order to not run into Midi Loops.
The devices Dials and controls will now reflect the state of the MKS80.

This is a huge advancement but also a little bit weird to use because of the way the MKS80 does(doesn't) support things.
Unfortunately the MKS80 does not have an "edit buffer request" neither a way to ask it to send the parameters of a patch when a program change is send. So that's why you have to need to physically go to the MKS80.

v35: now with additional Edit Buffer Import. There is a second IMPORT button, which enables sending edit buffer presets to the device. So you can directly send a MKS80 preset from Knobkraft (https://github.com/christofmuc/KnobKraft-orm) to the Maxforlive device, which will update all the dials etc AND SEND the patch to the MKS80. It will also store the preset in the device. So 1 button to receive from the MKS80 itself, another button to receive from Knobkraft. Also fixes to Upper/Lower Balance parameter. And when importing from MKS80 original preset number is shown properly. There is NO preset number when importing from Knobkraft (because edit buffer)

ATTENTION: to be able to use individual dials etc you need to enable "enable sysex output". It is enabled by default.
