Best Steinway software replica?

Hi. I'm in love with the dark sound of the famous steinway piano, but i can't afford one atm.

Is there a VST out there, that sounds like the the real deal?

How long is a piece of string?

I don't have it, but Modartt has just released a Steinway B for their Pianoteq software. Seeing as you can at least demo it (unlike huge sample libraries) it is at least worth a go.

The Hammersmith VST is very good - I learned about it on this forum and this forum has never steered me wrong.

The pro edition has multiple mic versions, which you might not need.

I haven't tried Pianoteq yet but people here tend to rate it highly also

The grandeur by NI is also good. But Steinways aren't dark IMHO, not as bright as Yamaha for sure but Bösendorfer and Fazioli have a different less bright sound than a Steinway.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm having some issues with ableton atm, but i will definitely check those out.
