just spent a few hours with the demos, how the hell do they increase the volume to ridiculous levels with out maxing the meters ?

Yeah, They are phenomenal, the EQ rocks also. If you genuinely want to know about these, search slutz for ' paul frindle ', who I believe was the main man behind these, as theres a long & seriously interesting QA/discussion on the magic they work! (& on using/not using them together)

You need an iLok, both to demo & then use the bought product

Yup, by far the most expensive plugs I own personally, but also without a doubt the first I'd buy again if starting over (the Limiter & the EQ at least). Also they do a 'custom bundle' thing where if you buy a few at the same time, the 'per plug' costs get cheaper. End of the day, the demos are free (bar the cost of an iLok if ya don't already have one) so you can see /hear if they'd be worth the investment.

I'd plumped for the wavearts bundle a few months before the sonnox bundle came out as AU, based really on cost & reviews, but since trying & forking out for the sonnox, the wavearts haven't nade it onto a single track I've made since, whereas I haven't mixed a single track without using sonnox EQs & limiter since getting 'em, so not cheap pricey but better value for me at least than the 'cheaper' bundle!!

I definitly agree. The initial purchase may be an expensive one, but you won't look back....except maybe to say to yourself "How did I get along without these before?"

Sonnox is expensive, but worth the cost without a doubt.

I love the Dynamics plug in and transmod, I bought my bundle for us$700 on ebay..it included the 6 native plug insthumbsup .

I had the eq for powercore and native. It is fantastic, aswell as the other plugins. I sold the eq a year ago. I am going to purchase the whole bundle next month. The plugins are expensive if you buy them one by one. Another thing which you have to take into account is that Sonnox charges their customers for every update, something like 20-30 dollars per plugin. You could get the update for free if you have purchased the plugins less than 3 months ago before the update.

I have been using it to clean up old drum machines with to much hum and noise. Very happy with it... Great results!

I have a Powercore but I got mine native, their much cheaper than the Poco versions, I think Powercore really lost out on this one when Sonnox went native.

The Sonnox Limiter is a no brainer it's really a marvelous plug. The EQ is excellent very transparent but I can live without it. The Trans Mod probably has the best sustain of any TD I've used but not so much at the attack.

I know it's rarely revered here in GS but I'm really a big fan of the Sonnox reverb it's just so easy to get a good sounding reverb out of that thing and so controllable, the 2 EMT plate emulations that it has comes very close to UAD's Plate 140. And the built in EQ is great.

While I love the transparency of the limitter, it is not fool proof like L2.
It distort with the wrong setting.
Currently I'm strugling to get more levels with voiceover.
Anybody can share some tricks to avoide distorting for voiceover?
May be it is more suitable for music mastering?
