Dunno, maybe it has to do with the fact that AJ1 lacks velocity? It certainly has a little bit of delay/reverb in some patches in this clip, but they do not change the overall sound at all. I kept the effects low for that particualr reason.
Also, did you try playing your AJ1 through another MIDI keyboard? When aJuno keyboards get old, their keyboards suck. I play my AJ2 through an AKAI MPK49, it definitely sounds better, brighter, more dynamic. It's like the original old keyboard can achieve velocity numbers up to around 70-80, but an external MIDI full 127 value. Of course playing through the latter, sounds better.
