I imagine something like the Voyager RME with more traditional Moog oscillators and filter. The pre-minimoog oscillators and filter would be acceptable.

Yes, I meant the controllers. They updated the smaller ones last year.
Speaking of the MPC, I think there is consensus, that it’s only a matter of time til the MPC X gets an update to bring it on par with the MPC Key61.

Elektron has yet to enter the increasingly crowded field of wavetable synthesis.

Combining Wavetable synths with Granular FX/Looping would be epic combined with Elektron’s sequencer. I know the Syntakt is still quite new and a very good machine but I feel the market is missing their presence in the Wavetable arena.

But additive synthesis is severely underexplored. Someone needs to make a hardware additive synth that kicks the K5000's ass.

Someone needs to do a keyboard sampler, where a sample can be converted to an additive synth patch and/or a V-Synth type sample that can be played across the keyboard with identical speed (realtime time-stretch).

Yes please to these! An AN1X sequel would be a smash hit, although I'm not gonna lie it would be pretty fortuitous for me if the AN-X rumor is a software upgrade to my MODX7+ that I got brand new for $250 from this local auction warehouse/liquidation place I frequent.

I always thought the Blofeld was super interesting, but not quuiiiiite enticing enough for me to pull the trigger. Those Jexus videos on it were pretty sweet though. A MKII version might be undeniable.

that or maybe a new komplete kontrol keyboard. i do feel as though there are a lot of updates due this year, it seems many manufacturers haven't put much out since covid

Or is the NAMM dead (for synths, not for mainstream instruments like ukulele, cajon, guitar ... etc) ?

Synths now all wait for Superbooth or just announce whenever they want?

a boutique jv 1080 with all the expansion sounds would sell truckloads

Dunno, that’d come to $3,000 for a six-voice. More or less on par with the Prophet-6, OB-6, and Polybrute. If it was spec’d right, I’d be all for that.

Would be nice to get a 5 voice moog polysynth based on mother filters and oscillators with presets for under 3k .. simple but sounds great .. seems to be the one market they for some reason have stayed away from but there is money there just going to sequential and others
