Yikes. If that's the actual price (and I assume it's correct), I'm out.

I haven’t been impressed by the sound of Behringer’s 2600 yet, and I missed the boat on Korg’s full size reproduction. This one is a no-brainer for me. Instant purchase.

Priced for those folks who truly despise Behringer, I guess.

I have no problem buying from Behringer. Unfortunately, their 2600 is a versatile patchable synthesizer that just doesn't sound like an ARP.

That happens to be a tone I seek, so with a little luck this Korg will do the job.

So this thing also acts as USB midi host. You can just plug a USB keyboard straight in and play. That is a big plus. But no midi thru.

It's a bit more expensive than I was hoping. I thought it might be €1200, but it might be close to that price after a while.

Is this another limited production run?

Why the manufacturers always have to use such funny languague? It feels like hearing your boss saying "We adjusted your salary to make it easier for you to manage your finances because you won't need such big numbers to calculate your balance..."

Not being such a behemoth like the original is definitely a plus, anyway.

Expected...and unexpected.
The most announced and leaked "secret" release, but with some interesting twists. Pity that they dropped the keyboard, but I love that they kept the speakers and reverb. Price is challenging, especially considering they didn't include the keyboard, but it's in line with the 4K they asked for the big sister. And it's cheaper than an Antonus or TTSH, which at this point will be almost put out of the market, if the KARP nailed the sound.
Who knows if they'll make a keyboard controller available separately? That would be the icing on the cake!

Am I the only one who finds the timeline quite hilarious:
- Korg announces full size 2600.
- Behringer is outraged to have lost the race and hurriedly announces its own clone literally days later.
- Korg's release and distribution is wrecked by Covid, everyone hates them and preaches to buy the BARP which will be available sooner and will be much better.
- more than one year later, the 2600M comes out while the BARP is still nowhere to be seen.

Unreasonable expensive.
I can buy BARP2600, Buttney and spare some $$ at the time it's available: 2024 for preorder, 2025 for general public.

Still gonna go with BARP because they added hardsync and extra LFO.
