The MIDI Solutions T8 I just bought has only 8 MIDI-DIN though-connectors on the back (compared with the Kenton's 12), but it works great, doesn't require a wall-wart, and is rack-mountable so it keeps things pretty tidy-looking in front (all the mess is in back). This solved a TON of MIDI cabling issues for me. Cheapest at zzounds.com—got it for $149.99 from them (costs more at Sweetwater, etc.).

Got my SVC-350 today, and it's every bit as magical as I thought it'd be. I hooked it up to the RS-09, and was having trouble getting the right level. Turns out I was using the instrument out and not the raw organ out, which it turns out was best matched to the guitar input with the Harmonics knob down. It's almost like a VP-330, except without the choir section. Being able to phase the strings while having a clear vocoder part sounds amazing

And to think I was going to dump the RS-09 for an Omni...

Probably the "reputation" issue, which is a false positive. This essentially means "we haven't seen this particular file much, therefore we don't trust it." These go away after a while, once the file has been out in the world long enough.

Just scored an RME UFXPlus from the bay for $1500! Pretty great deal I think - i'm coming from a first gen Multiface (which has been awesome) so will be interesting to see if there is a big difference in sound.

Great sounding dual reverb pedal. I like feeding the echo/delay into a mod reverb, or the poly reverb into the hall. Excels at pitch shifting reverbs to me. Can be more of a sound design tool than a reverb at times if you set it properly. Got it as a demo from Sweetwater, definitely a keeper. It really shines on the Prophet x’s samples.

They have to package it nice so your Bit O Honey doesn’t spill out.

Just a small Soundlab micro-mixer this month for 10 quid almost mint and boxed.

I also got an ARP Solina this month. I think I'm almost done with my "Joy Division" gear collection that I started years ago! I'm waiting for a Hooky Bass 6 Pro from Eastwood that should arrive next month, and then I think I have all the "must-have" Joy Division gear items... I think the last item I'd need after this is an ARP 2600 for the perc sounds in Closer - which is on the to-buy list for years anyway.
