Neat, I`v saved the first one as there`s quite a few there I would use, there`s only maybe 1 or 2 in the ambient pack I`d use though.
There`s a few from LFOstore that I`v got bookmarked too so I can have a listen over the weekend and make myself a shopping list
Though I`m really looking forward to making my own as well, sometimes FM makes a refreshing change from subtractive all the while, and I`v never even tried additive synthesis before though it seems to be a bit like playing with drawbars on an old organ.

Nice! I didn`t spot that from the vid, just the USB really then for updating patches when it`s in a large rack unit, it`s going to be awkward unless it`s a single module on it`s own or in that rack pictured in the thumbnail.

I`m so ashamed of myself!, last night I posted this:
I planned on organising all the patches, but instead I found a hard sync patch and spent most of the morning tweaking it and playing Voodoo People by the Prodigy

wow this is amazing. sad that I already have the VSTs for the mod wave and opsix and the HW opsix. would be dumb to load up on more HW after purging so many HW pieces.

Quick Question; is it possible to do a Quick Scroll though the patches, I found myself on patch 500 and there`s no wrap-around to patch 1 and I had to spend ages twisting the prog change knob, I don`t want to wear it out, so is there like a 10X fast scroll or something?

Funny you say that; the HS basically kicked the OP off my 'active practice' stand. This probably says more about me personally (in terms of what I need/want from it) than the OP6 itself. Well -- that, and the fact that my OP6 twice required some kind of repair issue, which took it out of usability both times. Kind of a momentum killer to have it useless -- twice -- for more than a month -- and both in the first six months of possession.

Not that this motivated me to part with it. Half the size of a DX7, but with all the functionality and much more accessible interface? I've never regretted it, just wish the inside build was more robust

Yeah, I can imagine how something like that would make you less inclined to use it, I think I would be the same. for me it can certainly do FM in a way that my HS can`t and my Jupiter couldn`t even attempt to do! LOL
On a side note, I managed to succesfully install my first soundpack today!
I have to admit though, it`s a metric f**k ton of messing about on widows just to get it to recognise the opsix!
Now I know why some many people complain about korgs s/ware LOL

The driver setup by Korg is esoteric to say the least. Glad you got it working. It's a real baptism of fire, and sometimes it can take people whole days of work to get it going. You are not alone. I got it working with about 5/6 hours work.

Price you pay for the intransigence of a corporation, but then again you get all the benefits as well, of a big corporation.

Though I think after reading that I must have been one of the "lucky" ones, it took about 15 mins for me, did all the reset the PC stuff and it still read as disconnected, so then I went through all the Windows 7 instructions about Device manager and some driver thing and network adapters and changing that to Microsoft etc... but the annoying part was having all that stuff open ontop of the instructions I was trying to read! LOL
so I was flicking between pages, reading a bit and doing the next instruction then changing pages again... about 10 times!
at Some point the Librarian s/ware came to life and said I was Connected
I suspect it was more luck than skill though if smarter folks than me took so long.

I`ll be glad to give my ears a rest on monday though, I`ve spent pretty much the entire weekend auditioning and short-listing sound packs for it! I think I`m just too picky LOL

I had to follow the instructions *exactly* as in the install PDF for Windows 10. I finally got it working. Odd, because the Modwave and Wavestate work on NCM in Win 10, but Opsix is RNDIS. At least it is working now!

does anyone know how to get the aftertouch to work in a patch?

I`m using a Hydrasynth to control it and the Poly AT is working with all my other synths just fine, I just don`t know how to make it work on the Opsix?

One of the few notable features missing from Opsix is keyboard aftertouch. While it’s not built-in, the synth will respond to polyphonic aftertouch from an external source. Connect an aftertouch capable controller via MIDI or USB, then head to the Virtual Patch menu to route it to any modulation destination

I tried that and it didn`t seem to do anything?
so I wondered if there was some other thing I was missing, though I wasn`t 100% sure how to use that patch thing.

I just tried poly AT with my NI S61 mk3 and it works just fine with Opsix plugin. Just use Poly Aftertouch in Virtual Patch section, assign it to something, and it works.

I just confirmed aftertouch works, using my Nord Stage 2.

Here's how I did it --

Pull up patch 59 Filtered Saws.
Go to the Filter, and turn Cutoff knob to minimum.

Go to Virtual Patch section.
Set source to aftertouch, destination to filter cutoff.

Don't forget to set Intensity knob to max.

I think that`s likely the problem, the source and destination made sense to me so i set those, the "int" thing in the middle I didn`t mess with, "Amt" for amount would have made more sense to me, Int means Internal to me, like Int, Ext and Auto for Midi clock for instance.
