I had just got my Roland SH-2000 up and running from some issues with some keys and a loose wire. But when i went to calibrate the tuning there just wasnt any sound coming out. i checked a multitude of cables that i know are working so it is not an issue with the cables.
It may be an issue with the output jack but since there are no other outputs on it i dont know how to test it. just before it stopped making any sound i could get some sound out of it momentaneously when i wiggled the jack cable.
The power cable is a bit dodgy but i dont know if thats it.
Please tell me if you have any clue as to what this is.
Did you ever figure this out? I have one now and there’s absolutely no sound.
Exercise the paddles! If one of them is dirty the audio signal get stuck there.
Sometimes when I fire up my SH-1000 it's totally silent, then I have to wiggle those paddles up and down in an almost ferocious manner to get the sound back. It even takes some Deoxit if it hasen't been used in a long while.
