It's not lo-fi enough, and it needs to be on a keyring.

They need to get these out into the wild, FAST. If I could get one of these at $120 and it works as advertised, you can bet I would end up getting a 'logue as well down the line.

This cute little synth looks like the portable synth of the year!

The huge diference with the ‘toy like’ previous Monotron is that this time you have a lot of new possibilities and features. First of all the obvious, it has midi IN so you can play it with your favorite midi keyboard. Secondly, it has a screen which gives you some basic information of what you’re doing at every given moment. Furthermore it has sync IN & OUT, audio IN and a mono out, which can use it for your headphones or to record audio into your DAW. And it has and a mini usb jack, which gives you the opportunity to load some extra sounds I guess, or to be in touch with some future firmware updates from Korg etc.

The fact that is digital makes it even better because the monotrons were to small to sound good as analogue synths.

And I forgot to mention the Reverb effect…

The more I think about it, it's really like a little Mutable Braids/Plaits I guess.

This is super exciting to me. I was interested in playing with the logue SDK but didn’t really want to spring for a Minilogue XD at this point. Now the price of entry is really low.

I’m also excited at the prospect of using this as a compact multifx unit to pair with the Volca Sample. Hoping that audio in is stereo.
