i missed the announcement. is it working ok with digitone? last time i used it (couple of months back) digitone kept freezing (not the actual device, but the connection would become unresponsive until a reset)
I did another brief test last night, and was able to get 18 24bit audiostreams from three elektrons (A4, AR, Digitone), everything played in sync and glitch-free @256 buffers!
Only issues I've encountered come from sync settings and when using the OB control panel. If you use OB for syncing, you must remember to uncheck all slave sync settings from the hardware's settings for most reliable operation.
OB control panel causes all sorts of dropouts and latency changes when reassigning the audio stream counts and bitdepths, so make sure you've set these settings correctly before you start running audio in your DAW to prevent glitches. You need to specify the audio channel count & bitdepth settings to every elektron device separately, but once you've done that you can close the ctrl panel and start rocking.
I can only speak for my own system here, but this is the first time I've gotten anything resembling reliable performance from OB2. I'm using overhub with a mac mini i7 2018 8GB RAM / OSX 10.15.4 / Ableton 10 (latest build).
And I'm kinda $hitting my pants now that I can use A4+AR+Digitone combo like this, giving me 20 voices of combined elektron goodness, with FM, subtractive synthesis & samples... running multitracked into my 12-core UAD. It's going to take getting used to all this power...
