Naked Eyes - What In the Name of Love (Fisher and Byrne mix)

This one is specifically for @ metatron13 . I don't know if you have this mix. I have it on CD and in addition to being a really cool mix (maybe their demo of the song?) it has many of the parts exposed and alone so you can hear them better. I'll bring it next time but you can listen to it here.

I might be repeating myself here, but...

Morton Subotnik.

Those late '60's to '70's records were...
stupefying.

Sonically obsessed people might want to give "Silver Apples" or "The Wild Bull"
or "Touch" a listen.

I am 98% sure Morton Subotnik invented gated reverb on "Touch". It's the first time I ever heard a long decay spring reverb patched into a VCA opened with a super short ADSR. It certainly influenced me to put a kepex on an EMT 140.

But none of this is that rave, ambient, 4/4 kick drum ecstasy fueled rehashed disco techno bull****...so never mind, not important.
