CVOCD would be my choice as well, as it can be programmed to Hz/V scaling which the Yamaha synths use. One thing to note is most devices that use Hz/V use Korg's standard which has a different voltage range (2-8V) versus Yamaha's implementation (0-4V). What this means in practice is you will have to use a voltage attenuator to get bass notes on the Yamaha.
Edit:
The Sound parcel product shown above only supports V/Oct Cv scaling so you can't use it with the Yamaha.
Will the CV OCD product send out a different CV per midi note to the CS-40m?
Why did I not know about this product before I sold my CS-40m to buy the '14? (laughing at myself)

Looks like CVOCD is the winner, definitely a better deal at $109.00
Unfortunately it looks like they are out of stock right now (seems like a small operation) but I put in my name on the waiting list.
Its a long shot, but does anyone have a CVOCD they want to sell, or know of a used one for sale anywhere?

Looks like it does:
*Play up to four monosynths together like a single polysynth by playing chords on a single MIDI channel
*Play multiple synths cyclically with consecutive notes going to different synths

I'm going to shoot an email to Mr. Hotchkiss in a day or two to see when it's going to be available. I'll let him know that a couple other people are interested as well. The black faceplate one looks damn cool.
Incidentially I stumbled the CVOCD by accident when I was researching MIDI arpeggiators --was looking for a modern equivalent to the Oberheim Cyclone and the Arpie looked to fit the bill. He also makes the Orange Crush and Banana Split MIDI Merger and Splitter. All very useful MIDI plumbing stuff. I'll probably pick up a Le Strum as well.
YES!!!!!
There are a few things I could hobble together like
a) A Monotribe 4 voice controlled by a TIMBRE WOLF!
b) a duophonic MS-20kit (as I have two of them)

With the TW in mono sequencer mode, say channel #1 ,
you could send each Monotribe to a different pan /and/or
pitch, so you could do the perFOURmer ping pong sequencer trick!

He's a nice guy too. He sent me Le Strum by accident and said I could keep it and sent out a new midi clock device (replaced by the banana thing now) which I had sent back for repair.

Thanks again, GS to the rescue!
He tends to make things in batches. I use his Midihub and midi Banana and they both work really well. He has a habit of making things you don't realise you need until you see what they do.

The company is called Sixty-Four Pixels, though it doesn't seem to be in GS' database. I have its Arpie and Orange Squeeze.
Good luck with the waiting, though. I've been asking for the add-ons for my Arpie for a very long time (sold out since Feb. 2017).
Not being in the twitosphere, could someone tweet him and ask when the Arpie add-ons and case are coming back? Has his laser cutter broken down or something?
SQ1 will convert MIDI USB to CV/gate but for Din MIDI you'll have to use a computer as a middleman. Also, it's Korg's Hz/V so you'll have to attenuate the CV to get bass notes on the Yamaha.

All I want is dual-channel midi to CV, I don't care if the midi comes from USB or not, just as long as it gets to the CV ( because the midi has to come from the DAW anyway) . So I think this would actually work apart from the attenuation issue, correct?
