Wow, that keyboard stand holding up your Moog One is beautiful.

I love your arrangement--in particular, the lighting. Good lighting is important (but easy to forget, I find).

Just so you know, your not alone in doing mockups. I make them as well using a combination of real photos, renderings and hand drawn sketches. I find them really helpful (and fun to make). Much of the time consumed in making them is returned by not having to move a bunch of gear around only to find out it doesn't fit or is aesthetically unpleasing.

It's also fun to imagine how things might look... if, for example, I had a River.

Desk space running out. This current setup is hardware synth biased. No treated room until next house.

I took inspiration from Tokyo. When space is running out, adapt; work vertically.
The side effect of working vertically with desktop synths; it ends up looking a little bit like a 1950's telephone operator station, or perhaps some villain's control console from a campy spy movie.

Now it just needs some oversided modular synth up on a shelf, flush above the monitors.

the gear is mostly from late 90s / early 2000s era, except for the mixer and input devices.

Glad I'm not the only one with a thing for little workstations. My current studio consists of three substations. It's so much easier to compartmentalize this way.

Heres my pretty small but growing setup. Had to move to smallest room in house as knocked through the room I had as a studio space to make a bigger front room - ho hum!

Next job is to kill the minging book wallpaper, add some treatment and fill the rack spaces. Got a Tegeler creme coming this week, then a silver bullet by louder than liftoff in a month or so. Might add a turntable to sample my vinyl at some point as well.

Wow. A Drumatix. Used to have one back in the 80s. I modded mine and tapped off the volume pots for individual RCA outputs. Made a huge difference mixing, no more reverb on the kick.

It's absolutely mint Roy, I'm over the moon - it's basically a brand new Drumatix.

I've never used one before, so it's a nice wee treat to turn it on!

Love some of the more outlandish mods in a breakout box, but for the moment I'm just enjoying it as is

got a new brain to my collection, Roland MC-80 EX from the golden era.
so, time to start building Live Rig № 3.


MC-80 has very cool implementation of Roland's „Realtime Phrase Sequence“ feature — up to 100 patterns per song can be triggered from keyboard or other input device by MIDI Note On messages, so with Launchpad Pro it's going to be a killer live combo.

606 hats eat the 808 hats for breakfast :> btw, if synced as slave you can use the tempo knob to control ohh decay, not many people know this ^^

Nice setup! What multi tier stands are you using for your keyboards? Some day I hope to have the money for synths with real keys again and I'll need something to put 'em on.

here's what I want to come up with for my live rack. I have every thing except
the bluetube and the rolls, a little fab on the vented panel and a shelf.

Finally starting to look right. Deepmind back from repair, Boog and Neutron on the desk instead of on the coffee table. Not quite sure how to effectively route everything yet. I think I'll need at least a splitter and a merge box.

I really like how the most important gear in the room, the padlock, is proudly displayed.

That laptop looks tiny compared to everything else.
