Not only is ^^^this the correct answer, it may well be the
only answer!! So many NYC pro audio shops have shuttered their doors in the last decade or two it's amazing that anyone can keep a studio running there.
(I won't pretend that impacted my decision to decommission my Manhattan studio last year and relocate to AZ, but it sure made shopping for parts more of an ordeal than when I first opened my doors there.)
[edit: okay, maybe not "more of an ordeal" but definitely "less of a fun adventure" ...a visit to Martin Audio's Parts Department was a lovely way to spend an hour or two neck-deep in geekdom.]
