Hey I just wandered across your thread and had a listen. Sounds great. It actually inspired me to finish some lyrics I had lying around on my phone. I think it might make a good match (perhaps with a few line adjustments). I wrote it with the pop-rock, Taylor swift style in mind. If you're still there, give it a try and let me know what you think. I have more lyrics that might suit this style if you're interested.
I normally write progressive rock and hard rock lyrics but some of my lyrics occasionally work with other genres.
Thanks.
OUT OF MY SYSTEM
v1:
I know very well you hate me
But who ever said I loved you?
Who ever said I looked your way?
v2:
You have to throw your faces
Why can't you just feel nothing
And go about a normal day?
chorus:
Get you out of my system...never wanted you there
Don't know how you drew such toxin
From a breath of fresh air
Please stay out of my system...I'm just trying to live
I don't want to dwell inside
Your inner narrative
v3:
There seems to be no strangers
In your world of accusations
Every face you give a storyline
v4:
You dish out your weak presumptions
But the tale spun in your head
Is nowhere near remotely close to mine
(chorus)
ukulele break:
Get out of my system
Get out of my day
You'd think you would quit it
When I'm walking away
drum bridge:
Who ever said I was hoping for connection?
My random glance? That's a nod in your direction?
I never knew my motions had such meaning
So tell me, what else are your powers gleaning?
(chorus)
