So we got the unit and installed it yesterday and WOW! A very nicely done unit by TASCAM. Did a quick shootout with our Benchmark AD-1 and the TASCAM sounds better. I will do some more testing and report back!
So we did a tape transfer for a client yesterday using this unit and I have to say I am very impressed with the quality of the sound. It is a keeper. We have a number of cassettes coming in from a good client next week who wants "very high quality" transfers so it will be a good chance to use this unit. We are using a TASCAM word clock (CG-1000) for the master clock that has all our equipment locked to it. IMHO, TASCAM makes some amazing pro audio equipment for some very reasonable prices...
