Protools LE 8 'Problem detected with audio clock'

Hi there. When im trying to playback on protools LE 8 it comes up saying, problem detected with audio clock check sample rate etc. Has anybody got any idea what my problem is?

Im running a digi 002 rack, windows 7 64bit.

Any help would be much appreciated

without knowing what or if your bringing anything with its own clock in the signal flow, check to see if the sample rate on your rack/interface is the same as your sessions.

Yep the sample rate on my clock and session is the same. The mic won't detect either, could it possibly be a problem with the firewire card/cable?

what gear are you using and how are you hooked up.

Using a Digi 002 rack and im hooked up using a firewire cable. Got an M-audio Luna mic hooked up to the rack aswell but the mic is not being detected either.

I dont know why I didnt think of this but is you clock source set to internal?

Edit: I asked what gear you had cuz I wasnt sure if you had anything else in the signal flow such as a big ben ect.

Umm im pretty sure it is set to internal, you check that in the setup dropdown? sorry for me being relativily clueless i've only been mixing/producing for about 6 months and this is the first time i've had to set the system up myself

dont apologize man, in the grand scheme of things Ive only been doing this for a blip on the radar myself. thats why I love this sight, there are so many people to learn from! yes to check that is in the protools preferences, you can access those through the setup or the protools drop down.

Okay i checked the clock source and it is set to internal, another point. When i start protools the digi 002 restarts when it reaches setting up midi. Could this be related to the problem?

OMG! yes...lol, I made this mistake a few times man. that means the digi 002 and the sample rate of your session is not the same. change the sample rate of the digi 002 to match that of your session and you should be fine.
