I hate it. It has none of the great dedicated Logic mode we had with the FW1884, so it's down to MCU. The faders clack and rattle like an old Prius. A lot of mystery buttons, it works, so maybe it's just me, but I have no patience for figuring it out. It triggers different views of the mixer, and adjacent tracks then move around so they are seldom together on the same page/ group. I just rearranged tracks on a project to put them within reach. The alleged colored scribble strips only work in Bitwig. You can adjust the LCDs but they are still hard to read from any position.
It connects easily after you reset the USB connection. Working with the Tascam was a pleasure. The X-Touch would require a lot of time to fathom, or a little manual for each DAW. They imply more info is coming, but they don't have the staff. Given the customary Behringer documentation - a handful of sentences in 20 languages - i suspect it's as good as it gets, and the device will join their back 40 of unrealized potential.
Going back to the Tascam is apparently possible, glad to hear it's working on an M1 mac. But there are so few hours in a day, and so many other "issues", that i will probably drive that plug and play USB Prius for now.
