I just made the switch from Logic 9 to X and i can't find the solo mute behaviour preference in Logic X

I'm using it to individually mute different midi region on the same track.

Without this preference, it mutes all the region on the same track

How can i solve this ?

Logic Pro X doesn't have that SOlo Preferences anymore.

Channel Strip Solo
Now, the Solo Button (on the Channel Strip and the Track Header) always affects the Channel Strip (Solo-In-Place). Key Command "S"


Region Solo (Solo Mode)
Enabling the Solo Mode BUtton on the COntrol Bar soloes all currently selected Regions. Key Command "ctr+S"

Solo Play
THis is a variation of the Region Solo. The Region in the Drummer Editor or Piano Roll Editor have that little Play Button in their upper-right cornet. Press on it to play that Region in Solo Mode.

Actually, I wish Pro Tools has the SOlo Mode "X-OR" implemented like Logic.

First, let's get the terminology straight because there are so many different terms:

Solo Latch: When you press a Solo Button, you only toggle that button without affecting any other Solo Button
Solo Exclusive: When you press a Solo Button, all other Solo Buttons that are enabled on other Channel Strips are disabled. This way you can go through and quickly solo only specific Channel Strips.

In Logic:
It is a simple as clicking with or without a modifier key
Solo Latch: Click the Solo Button
Solo Exclusive: Opt+click the Solo Button

In Pro Tools:
Here, Solo Latch is the default and if you want to switch to Exclusive (X-OR) you have click on the Options Menu, scroll down to Solo Mode and to open the submenu, scroll to the right and down to select X-OR. When you want to switch back to Solo Latch, you have to do the procedure all over again.
Because Pro Tools doesn't have that extensive Key Command arsenal that lets you freely customize them, you have to revert to third party utilities or the macOS System Preferences to create a workaround. You would guess that with such a professional app, a workaround for that simple feature would not be necessary

Thanks, I'm coming to Logic from Cubase and LPX' Solo behavior was confounding and infuriating me.

Actually, there is one workflow in Pro Tools that toggles between Latch and Exclusive without going to the Main Menu:
Set it to X-Or (Exclusive) and when you want to add a soloed Track, shift+click the Solo Button which "adds" the soloed Track to the already soloed Track(s).

Does anyone know if this can be done via Eucon and an Avid S1 or Dock? I've tried assigning the modifier Option to a soft key on the S1, but I can't find Option in the commands list in Eucontrol Settings when Logic is the focused application.

In this example, I'd hope to be able to hold a soft key (to which Opt has been assigned) and click on the Solo button on any channel to solo only that track (Solo Exclusive behavior).
