Rubber flooring for control room?

Hey!

Does anyone have any experience with using rubber flooring in a control room?

If so, which type of rubber? (natural rubber sheet or EPDM)
Do I need to lay something on top of the rubber or it okay to leave it as is?

I have a small rectangular room of 19(l) x 7(b) x 7ft (h).

Hey there, did you get any answers for this? Thinking of doing the same for my tracking room

You need a purpose built material, and fairly precisely designed floor assembly to get any benefits from floating. This typically entails a floating concrete slab on spring type jacks with a filling in between the gap.

Regular rubber, gym mats, appliance mounting rubber, ect are not suitable for studios.

If your floor is not very massive ie several inches on concrete minimum, floating will not work.

Attached is an example of a floating floor that works. Note the isolators consist of springs ON NEOPRENE PADS. Not Cheap.
