Hello everyone
I'm brand new to making music on the computer, so may be missing something obvious.
I'm using Cubase to make my first ever computer track (which is also my first ever attempt at properly orchestrating something, so it's an adventure), but the track slows down significantly for a couple of bars in the middle. The rest of the track also fluctuates in tempo, but in a more subtle way.
It may be because I reduced the tempo to record some of the midi, to make it easier to play - and then increased the tempo again to play back. I only used the little tempo monitor in the transport bar, but I didn't expect it to slow down the whole project. is there any way to bring the midi that I recorded more slowly back to the speed of the project?
Visually, everything looks good on the timeline - the bars all align with their expected place on the grid, but it slows down when it goes over them.
The rest of the track also fluctuates in tempo, but in a more subtle way.
I'm hoping there's a quick setting or something I can change so that it reverts to the standard project speed?????
I've uploaded short section of the track (link below) with audio fluctuation so you can see what I mean. It's the last 2 bars of this section that most noticeably slow down.
