How do I adjust calibration on a color wheel?
I was going through our inventory (first time in ages that EVERYTHING has been checked) and found an old Chauvet DMX-450 Abyss that is in tolerable condition, aside from one issue--the color wheel is off-kilter and isn't coming up to the correct settings (it's half-accurate...for instance, if I select the blue setting for it, half the throw is blue and the other half is an adjacent color).
Chauvet has informed us that it's old enough that they will no longer service it, but it's not usable for us, as is, so I'm trying to find a way to adjust the calibration myself. After spending a couple of hours trying to Google any sort of how-to and getting little more than user manuals and ads for newer versions of the same light, other versions of the DMX-450 line, and ebay listings for the same kind of light, I'm done hunting there and hoping someone here can either talk me through it or point me at some basic tutorials.
(Don't worry...if your advice doesn't work or I do it wrong, no sweat...the light is practically a write-off, at this point, so I'm experimenting.)
