Any love for those around here? They are seriously cheap, so I never considered them.

I like them but I have been using AKG cans for years. Started with the K141 but the K240 have a larger ear cup which I prefer. Both are open back. The K240 are not overdone in the top end and the low end is decent for cans. Physically they are fairly light and you don't feel like your head is in a clamp. There is the K271 closed back but I'm not a fan of closed back, I keep them for drummers and guitarists on the floor.
I've only compared the AKG to a handful of other mid level headphones, Sony, Shure, Sennheiser, Audio Technica and always prefer the AKG.

I use the originals. Dirt cheap, feel great, don't mess with my vocal pitch (much). And since my day-job clients all seem to listen to my work on buds or phones these days, 240's are the headphones I use as a reference.

Main difference is a detachable cable with an optional curly cable and a mini stereo plug with a 1/4 inch adapter.
Not sure about the drivers.
