Good morning all!
Here's my problem, which I'm sure many have experienced before:
I have an America Fender Telecaster (2001) and a Mexican Fender Jazz Bass (2000) both with stock hardware, no mods. In two separate houses (Brooklyn) I get the exact same noise, which can be mitigated by standing in the perfect spot and not moving an inch. Impractical and beyond frustrating. When I go to my moms in Delaware, ZERO noise in any spot in her home. And that's without using any power conditioners, of which I have 3 in my studio. I record into an Apollo Twin going either direct or micing my amp, same results, fwiw. I've also tried turning off all LED lights, making my audio and power lines aren't crossing, etc. I've also tried different outlets in different rooms, no luck.
So after much reading, I've decided to shield both guitars as it must be the single coils that are picking up all the rf. I haven't done this yet as I wanted to ask some questions here 1st.
My questions are:
1. Has anyone had success with using one of these? Would going with a more expensive unit be pointless?

2. Should I consider swapping out the stock pickups instead?
3. Will shielding completely mitigate the noise?
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
